As homemakers, we have come to understand that love is not just a feeling—it is an action in our daily practices.
From the moment we prepare meals to the spaces we tidy up, our work is a reflection of the love we have for our loved ones and for the Lord.
In the Bible, 1 Corinthians 16:14 reminds us: “Let all that you do be done in love.”
As I mentioned in the previous newsletter, our perceptions of the why truly alter how we serve.
So if we approach our homemaking with love, even the simplest of tasks become an act of worship and godly intentions.
So no, love isn’t necessarily as grand as the gestures that this world tells us we must perform, but it is woven into the small, faithful moments of our everyday lives.
Let us now explore how to make a strong foundation for our homemaking skills so that they may reflect God’s goodness and love.
A Moment of Reflection
A mindset shift is essential in order to give life and love to our daily tasks.
Ask yourself: Why do I serve my home and family? Is it from duty or from love? Do I see my work as a reflection of God's love?
Here are some reminders to keep love at the heart of our homemaking:
Love is patient: You won’t always finish every task. That’s okay. Your home is a reflection of life, not perfection.
Love is intentional: Every small act—making a bed, lighting a candle, folding laundry—is a way to express care.
Love is selfless: Homemaking is a service to others, but it’s also a blessing to ourselves when done with joy.
Love invites rest: We can’t pour our love from an empty cup. Taking moments to replenish is essential in loving well.
Remember sister, homemaking is a ministry of love. Take this moment to breath in and out, and sit in a moment of reflection with every intention to bring God’s image in all you do.

Host a meal or coffee chat with a friend or loved one
Reflect on the atmosphere of your home—what can you do to make it more peaceful and loving?

1/2 CUP chicken broth
1/2 TSP dried thyme
1/2 TSP dried rosemary
Salt & pepper to taste

Prayer of the Week
Heavenly Father,
Thank You for calling us to create homes filled with love. Help us to serve with joy, to nurture our families with patience, and to build an atmosphere that reflects Your kindness. May our homes be a place of peace, and may we honor You in all we do. Amen.
Bible Verse of the Week
